Website Keyword Research Method And Long Tail Keyword

“It is a fact that researching for keywords for your website is a very tedious task. However, this process can become simpler if you just know the important factors on website keyword research success.

For starters, you’ll need to determine your specific niche. What product or service sets you apart from your competitors? For instance, if your website is about children’s book club, then your goal is to find keywords that can target your audience. For example, you can type into Google or other search engines keywords like “”children’s book club”" or “”book club for children”". Keywords are what your target audience search for when they go to search engines.

In order to do this research, you’ll need to use a keyword research tool. A recommended tool is the keyword tool for Google. Simply type in your website name or the keywords or phrases you wish to research. This will produce a keyword list, sorted by either global or local views per month.

When you do your keyword research, avoid focusing on keywords with the highest total searches monthly. Those long tail keywords or those specific phrases may get fewer searches but they have the higher conversions compared to those that have the highest searches per month. This is because prospects are looking for specific things or specific items that they are planning to buy.

Looking at the given example, “”children’s book club”", you can see that the most search keyword is “”short kid’s stories”". This keyword phrase is a general search that seeks to find stories online and not what the example keyword would want to target. But, as you scroll down the list you find more targeted, longer-tail keywords of “children’s book of the month” and “buy children’s book”". Though these two have the least number of searches, they have a higher conversion rate because they are more targeted. Although longer-tail keywords are often the less popular keywords, they are responsible for quality online traffic!

Always make sure that you are concentrating on keywords that are highly competitive. Quality search engine optimization will take time before you can see results. This takes intensive effort. Focus your efforts on high quality keywords. Remember, these keywords will have a lot of competition so you must step up with your marketing tactics.

If you’re concerned about your keywords and their effectiveness, you may want to utilize a new longer tail website keyword research method. The targeted traffic and increased results will be worth the effort!
