What is Top Dog | | Wag the Dog Marketing is a blue ribbon digital marketing agency whose site has a comprehensive search engine optimization and online advertising resource who will truly become Your Ad’s Best Friend.

Would you like to effectively catapult your brand into the top-dog position of your industry and leave your biggest competitors in the doghouse? will help you rank as the Top Dog of your field with Internet marketing warm leads.

The first thing to do in generating leads is create a landing page for your sites products. Make sure it’s contents are short and to the point. Give a quick summary of the best three benefits of your product.

Your landing page should be keyword optimized. It should have the proper meta tags necessary to be found under your specific keyword phrase describing your product or service. Said keyword should be found at the top of your landing page as the title.

Your landing page should contain a form that the consumer can fill out for more information. Above the form must be a call to action to fill out the form. And, offering something of value, for free, to the potential client is a very effective way to entice them into filling out the form.

Then give them the free report or item with no obligation. Giving them something of limited supply may entice them to fill out the form rather than leave and coming back later. This urgency and scarcity is enticing.

Your landing page should be graphically appealing and related to your products and services. Most people are visually stimulated so think through what would be the most relevant. Have as few links as possible on this page so the viewer isn’t likely to click away.

Get the new page indexed in the search engines. Do this by adding the page to your sitemap and then submitting it to the major search engines. If this sounds Greek to you, do some research to find out how to get this done as it is important.

Now that you’ve finished the above, it’s time to generate backlinks to the page by writing good articles about your offering and submitting them to article directories relating to what you’re selling. At the bottom of said articles you place a link pointing to your new page. Be sure to make the anchor text the keyword you wish the page to be found under in search results.

The fastest way to get real interested traffic to your page is to start a pay per click Adwords campaign on Google. Yahoo! and Bing also offer something similar. If you don’t know how to do this, learn or hire someone to do it for you as it is extremely effective.

And, that’s about it. Just sit back and call or communicate with your real time leads as they come in.
