5 Brilliant Hen Party Games
By Gaynor James
Hen Party Games are essential when you’re planning a Hen Do. My suggestions will guarantee the bride-to-be will have a night she’ll never forget.
Hen Party Game No. 1 – Toilet Paper Couture: This is a ‘Generation Game’ style activity that can produce some brilliantly funny results. Split the girls into four teams. Their task is to design and create a wedding dress from toilet paper and a few other unlikely items. Really use your imaginations here and give the girls some weird and wonderful stuff to play with. A few items I like to include are: A roll of white toilet paper, A roll of pink toilet paper, Silver tinsel, Christmas Tree baubles, Used Sweet Wrappers, Used Soft-Drink Cans, String, Cellotape. When the time is up, play a catwalk style pop song (I’m Too Sexy or Don’t Ya Wish Your Girlfriend Was Hot Like Me) to which the ‘models’ (the girls who are wearing their team’s wedding dress design) must strut their stuff. Choose a winner.
Hen Party Game No. 2 – Man Hunt: Each girl on the Hen Night picks out a piece of paper from a hat, bag or bowl. On the piece of paper is written a ‘type’ of man. When coming up with ‘types’, use your imaginations and be as silly and outrageous as you can. For example: a guy with a moustache, a man with a shaved head, someone who is shorter than you, a gay guy, and a body builder. Once everyone has picked out their ‘man’ from the hat or bag, their mission is to find that guy at some point during the Hen Night. The aim of the Hen Party Game is to get a kiss from your man.The first girl to get a kiss wins a prize.
Hen Party Game No. 3 – Necklace Necking: Give each girl an edible necklace (the ones that are made from sweets) at the start of the night. The only rule is it must be eaten by a stranger (or strangers) and they must be male!! The first girl to have her edible necklace entirely eaten wins a prize!
Hen Party Game No. 4 – Memories: Ask all the girls (excluding the hen herself) to write a couple of sentences about a memory they have of the bride-to-be. All of the memories go into a bag, hat or bowl. The bride must pick out each memory and try to guess which of her guests it belongs to. For each incorrect answer the bride gives, she must either perform a forfeit or take a drink!
Hen Party Game No. 5 – First Boyfriend: Prior to the Hen Party get all the girls to email you a one sentence description of their first boyfriend. Print out all the stories on a sheet of A4 and number them. At the party give each girl a copy. Their job is to guess which girl goes with which boyfriend. The person with the most correct answers wins.
And finally, make sure you have a fabulous girly evening!
