By Mark T King

While making arrangements for your wedding, deciding on the issue of budget makes the rest of the planning easier. It enables you to choose the wedding venue, the ceremony menu, and the overall decoration cost of the nuptial ceremony. It is also important that the guests appreciate a variety of quality food and servings. Your budget assists you to select an appropriate menu for the most special day of your life.

Some couples rate the menu as their second priority and give first priority to the entertainment, the bridal attire and the decorations, while others like to boost up their wedding by serving finest wines and choicest delicacies. In a general review, an average of 40% of the total budget of the wedding is spent only on the wedding reception.

Most of the times, brides are pressurised by the large number of people invited at the party. You need to mange everything in a way that everyone feels comfortable with each other. When we talk about enjoyment at a party, reception is incomplete without a good meal. Your reception can take any form, from informal cocktail hours to an elegant, catered brunch.

Your guests will surely remember one thing about your wedding, that is, the food. Many people organizing the wedding may also choose a theme for the menu; it could be as simple as an Italian banquet. Some couples may choose to have fun meals like fish, chips and burgers. Another popular dinner meal among people is roast.

With all the on-going hassle and tension of organizing stuff, do not forget the fact that it is your wedding and you have to enjoy it as much as anyone else. Families and the wedding couple feels pressurized if the decor will look good or not and a lot more.

The popular dishes may include Pan fried duck breast with creamed Savoy cabbage, strips of chicken and fillet steak in a green peppercorn sauce with basmati, homemade steak and kidney pudding in a rich ale gravy and grilled fillet of sea bass with crushed new potatoes.

Drinks are always there to complement the meal. Wedding parties must contain champagne. There are a lot more drinks such as wine and beer. The couple enjoys the new life with the family members. Many soft drinks and juices are also the part of the menu.

Traditionally, the food served at the wedding reception is usually considered as the wedding breakfast. It is called so, because it is the first meal that the couple enjoys together as a married couple. Most of the wedding breakfast takes place in the afternoon, as the couple gets busy dealing the puckish attitude of the guests. If the wedding reception is around 8pm or 9pm, it is an interesting idea to give guests a light buffet or a snack for their evening reception.
