After you have found your dream wedding gown, it is time to start shopping for the perfect dresses for your bridesmaids. Keep in mind the season, the location, and your wedding colors as you are perusing through the shops in search of that one style that will please all concerned. These are some suggestions on beautiful bridesmaid dresses for beach weddings.

It’s important to choose a dress style which will flatter everyone’s figure. This is never an easy task, but empire waists and A-line or princess skirts will tend to suit most shapes and sizes. If your bridesmaids have very different figure types and heights, and you think they might feel uncomfortable in matching dresses, a nice alternative is to choose the fabrics and colors, and allow each individual bridesmaid to choose her own Maternity Wedding Dresses style.

The halter neckline is marvelous on the beach. There are more variations on the halter neckline than you may initially realize. There are halters that tie in the back with flowing tails, ones with tiny spaghetti-like straps, halters which twist in the front and have a closed neckline, those with square necks, V-necks, and even sweetheart necks. With so many versions, there is a halter neckline to flatter every possible shape and size bridesmaid. Since necklaces can be problematic with halters, you may wish to give earring and bracelet sets as your bridesmaid jewelry gifts.

If the bridesmaids wear subtle ivory or soft pastels, the bride may choose black for that contrast effect. Since black looks lovely with a lighter shade, the junior bridesmaid might wear black and adorn her waist with a splendid sash to march the bridesmaid dresses. A black junior bridesmaid dress with a fuchsia, pink, turquoise, or burnt orange sash is a showstopper.

It’s traditional to choose a one-piece dress or gown, but separates are definitely an option. Mixing and matching separate blouses and skirts makes it easier to find a style which suits each individual bridesmaid. You should think about the time of year you plan to hold the wedding, and how this will effect your gown choices. Choose lighter fabrics for summer, and a sleeveless or even a strapless dress style. If your wedding is planned for a cooler time in the year, long skirts and sleeves are best, or include a shawl or wrap as part of the outfit.
