Weddings are up there with moving house and changing jobs as one of the most stressful things you can do in your life. Even those that plan to have a fairly small wedding or even those that decide to take their wedding abroad to cut down on the numbers, it can be surprising how much organisation and planning is still needed. With all of the planning and pressure, it can be very easy to overlook the essentials paving the way for a lot of last minute rushing around and stress.
For any bride to be there are certain things that take prominence over others. The dress, the venue and usually the photographer are pretty high on the list. One other important factor is of course hair and make-up; it’s one of the days when all brides and grooms want to look their best. Relying on the make-up artist to arrive can be enough to make some peoples blood pressure go through the roof! There are now ways to have your make-up almost already done well beforehand and thus reducing stress levels.
The technique used by those in the beauty industry, film and television industry is permanent make-up. As the name suggests, permanent make-up is make-up that once applied lasts. It is the coice of many celebrities as it provides a solid foundation for other make-up products, but is also great for when they have to do ‘normal’ things like take the children to school, or go to the shops and then not have to worry about being snapped by the paparazzi.
For brides and also grooms there are many permanent make-up treatments available. One of the most popular treatments for those planning a wedding is eyebrow shaping. As eyebrows tend to frame the whole face they are an area many worry about. A permanent make-up artist will be able to shape the eyebrow as well as reconstruct areas where there are hairs missing. These additional hairs are usually matched to the colour of the existing hairs and can give a full, natural look.
Another area where people are often keen to have permanent make-up applied is the lips. Lips and teeth are important on wedding days, not just because of all the kissing, but also because of all the smiling needed for the wedding photos. Permanent lip treatments can add colour to faded lips and provide a more full and luscious look, when touched up with gloss or lipstick any lips can look rejuvenated and of course, like they have been applied by a professional.
The semi-permanent make-up treatment can also be a great excuse to get together with your nearest and dearest before the big day. It’s not unusual for potential brides to take their mothers and soon to be mother-in-law with them, it can be a nice informal way to get together and involve them in the wedding preparations.
Early preparations when it comes to weddings are key to having a successful day. Permanent make-up is one area that can make the day a bit less stressful and the honeymoon as well, as the effects will of course last well past your wedding day.
