Keep The Love Alive By Surprising Your Spouse Now And Then

By Mark Mason

It is no secret that time and problems can wear down the passion in a marriage. To keep a marriage healthy and strong, effort must be made to keep the flame burning and one way to do this is to surprise a spouse now and then. Surprises are heartwarming and can keep the passion alive in a marriage.

Choose an ordinary day to surprise your partner. This can work if the person does not expect it coming. Thus, do not choose birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries to surprise your partner because they are already expecting you to surprise them.

Then, think of something that your spouse likes to do. For example. If your spouse doesn’t like to travel, then do not contemplate of travelling that special day. Make sure that what you plan is not because you want or like it but instead because your spouse like it. Then, do not purchase something that you yourself are the most wanting it. But instead, purchase something what your partner has been wishing for.

If possible, find something to do together. And make sure you both get pleasure from doing it. Practical gifts should go out the window. Go for something that will warm his or her heart. Make sure he or she understands that you care about their feelings.

To get a better idea of what your spouse may want, be observant. Take note of the things that he or she would like. To keep the love alive, care for your spouse enough to know what they want.

Price does not matter. Choose something that could touch the heart of your partner, a simple greeting card expressing one’s love written by hand.

Plan ahead of time so you don’t ruin a surprise. If you’ve decided to treat your partner to a fancy restaurant, book your table in advance. Then go ahead and tell your spouse to dress fancy for the evening.

Bear in mind that your spouse will really feel pleased and grateful with what you do. He/she may or may not enjoy it, it doesn’t matter. What matter most is the thought of showing how important or special he/she to your life.
